Stafford Villa, Auckland
Heritage listed Stafford Villa, the finalist in the 2008 New Zealand Tourism Awards, is located in the genteel, historic village of Birkenhead Point, offers luxury, hosted accommodation in a tranquil setting. A two storey, colonial villa built in 1903, it is heritage listed and has been restored to accommodate two luxury suites. Accommodation places an emphasis on style, elegance, comfort and privacy. The China Blue Suite offers more than a hint of luxury with the oriental influence mirrored in the collection of blue and white porcelain, whilst the Tuscany Summer Suite is decorated in tones of calming creams and warming terracotta. The villa is located in a sheltered valley facing sunny north and is set in an old fashioned garden. Guests can choose to escape into the garden amongst the privacy and tranquility of the beautiful roses, colourful flowers and abundant New Zealand native flora, fauna and native birds, or take a leisurely walk to one of the nearby beaches, numerous cafés and restaurants on the doorstep. A regular ferry service to downtown Auckland is also within walking distance.

• A day visit to one of the outlying islands of the Hauraki Gulf

• Within a short walking distance of Stafford Villa, chose from one of two heritage walks ‘Kauri Point Centennial Park and remains of Maori Pa’ or ‘Le Roys Bush/ local heritage buildings
• Sail on an authentic America’s Cup boat across the Auckland Harbour
• Take the evening ferry to the downtown Auckland, dinner at a choice of restaurants on the Viaduct
• Take a short ferry ride to ‘Rangitoto Island’ and walk /ride to the top of the volcano
